1What is a relocated self-employed person?
This is a self-employed person, permanently residing in one EU member state, who temporarily relocates to another EU member state to work on a short-term project. The worker returns to his/her country of origin when the project is completed.
2Who can relocate from one EU country to another?
Any EU citizen or third-country national residing in the EU, in accordance with the right of freedom of movement within the EU.
3Should the self-employed workers return to their home country once the project is completed?
No. The right of freedom of movement within the EU gives entitlement to resettlement. However, if that is the case - our business relationship with these workers is terminated.
4What are the benefits of international workers for the host country?
International workers increase the level of output, which is one of the main drivers of economic growth. Some of the advantages of employing such workers in your business include: fulfiling existing contracts and taking on more work; increased access to international knowledge and supporting the upskilling of co-workers; expanding to international markets; creating a more diverse workforce with varied experience and ways of working.

Brexit is not preventing businesses around the world to act as agents for self-employed people looking to find work. The workers we provide exercise their individual rights when relocating to another EU member state.

7How do we ensure that self-employed individuals have good contractors?
Prior to signing of the contract and throughout the assignment, A1 Staff monitor and ensure that the client company complies with all necessary requirements in terms of accommodation, transport to and from work, rest/work balance.
8How do we deal with complaints from a client company about a worker?
Client companies are requested to address their complaints in writing to the designated A1 Staff contact person, who will assess the complaint and take necessary actions to resolve all pending issues.
9How do we define adequate accommodation?
A1 Staff make sure that workers’ accommodation comprises of a bedroom (single or two-bed), shared fully equipped kitchen, bathroom and WC, 24/7 access to internet, transportation to and from work, available transport for personal grocery shopping.
